This page: When man agrees with God, good things begin to happen.
The just shall live by faith, Romans 1: 17.
Without faith it is impossible to please God, Hebrews 11: 6

What is faith?

Faith is the essence of things hoped for, it is what keeps hope alive and the man with it either working towards that which is hoped for (Noah), or believing and waiting for something that has been promised. (Abraham) Noah worked, Abraham waited. Now both man heard from God, both men believed God, both man were faithful to God, and both man saw the end of their hope materialize; Noah and his family was saved, while the wicked world around them perished, Abraham begat Isaac, the promised seed through whose seed would come Christ. Both man lived by and walk by faith, which all God’s children are commanded to do to this very day. Both man inherited the righteousness of God, it was imputed to them for faith: Where are Noah and Abraham now? They together with a myriad of others are waiting for the rest of the saints of God to come home, so that they together with them can receive what is in store for those who have lived by faith, perfection in Christ, new heavens, and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness. 2. Peter 3: 13.

The first question that converts should ask.

Where do we get the faith that Noah and Abraham had? To give you the answer we turn to the Apostle Paul; the Apostle Paul had no difficulty touching on faith, he did so a good number of times, no doubt the best was were he put himself on the line and let everybody know what it was that kept him going, this truly is his personal statement of faith, please read carefully, Galatians 2: 20. He writes, I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me, and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. The words “the faith” appear over thirty times in the new Testament, often they stand alone, each time they do not, they refer to the faith of Christ.

The next  and logistical question is, how can I get this faith of Christ? Again we turn to the Apostle Paul, hear what he had to say, Philippians 3: 7 What things were gain to me, those I count loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ. Here you can understand that he laid down all he had to gain the righteousness of God. The Apostle Paul chose the ways of Christ over his own, he lived and walked together with Him, albeit in Spirit, he joined him in his faith, and in this fashion Paul and Jesus went on fulfilling the will and counsel of God. You want to please God, here is what you do, seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his Righteousness, so says Matthew 6: 33, seek no more, as the Apostle Paul, you will find it through the faith that is in Christ. Christ taught, Luke 12: 32, It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom, in Luke 17: 20 He taught, The kingdom of God is within you, In Romans 14: 7 The Apostle Paul describes this Kingdom, he writes: For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. To the converted, the writer Jude writes, Verses 1 -25 (3) It was needful for me to exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. What does contend mean in the way it is used here? It means to strive, and in this striving to stick up for it, come what may.

A recommendation, make the Apostle Paul’s statement of faith, your statement of faith, and at your baptism let everybody know. Galatians 2: 20 I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless, I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me, and the life I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of Christ, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

To make it all happen, do what Christ  recommended, He said, Matthew 11: 29 put on my yoke and learn of me. There is nothing better then to walk even work side by side with your Master who has your best interest at heart, such is Jesus. What is his yoke? It is to do the will of his Father, to which you too are called.

What are we to have faith in?

In short, in God Almighty, His Powerful Word, and His love. In God Almighty for who He is, in His Powerful Word for what he has said, and in His love that works his kindness, mercy and grace.

What are God’s attributes that should make me believe that he can deliver on his promises? Here is the answer: It begins with this question, What frames the magnificence of God, making him worthy of all honor, glory and praise? The answer: The magnificence of God is framed in the intrinsic attributes that make up his character. It is these attributes that make it possible for him to keep and deliver all of his promises. These attributes are: He is all knowing, all seeing, present everywhere, all powerful, and unlimited in creative power, and a God of Love, It is the intrinsic attributes that set him free to love, to promise and to deliver at will. His love never fails. ( 1 Cor. 13: 8.) 1It is the love of God that works the faith of Christ, 2it is the faith of Christ that works the righteousness of God, 3it is the righteousness of God, who we are in Christ 2 Corinthians 5: 21, that delivers from death. In this chain you can see the importance of your part that delivers from death, 4you are called to be an instrument of righteousness in the hands of God,  this then is why it is so important that you have faith in One Almighty God, his Word, and His Love. 1Galatians 5: 6,  2Philippians 3: 9,  3Proverbs 11: 4. 4Romans 6: 13.

If I am faithful to God, what I can expect to happen? The answer is, 1the development of your spiritual character, secondly, 2the development of the gifts he has given to you, and thirdly 3to use you and your gifts for his purposes.  1Ephesians 3: 14-21, 21 Corinthians 12: 4-7, 3Colossians 1: 9-13, Hebrews 13: 21.

What is a statement of faith?

A statement of faith, is a statement that tells others what a person and or a group of people have but there belief in.

CEC Canada’s Statement of Faith: We come in faith believing that God does not lie, this is what makes it possible to write statements of faith. Our first faith then is, “We believe 1that God is God that cannot lie.” the next one is, “We believe 2the Bible is the inerrant word of God.” the next one is, “We believe 3that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” the next one is “We believe 4that the Holy Spirit witnesses to us that we are the children of God, furthermore we believe 5that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth reveals to our spirit the deep things of God, that we may know the things freely given to us by God.” 1Titus 1:2,   2John 17: 17,  3Hebrews 1: 1, 2,   2 Peter 1: 20, 4Romans 8: 16, 51. Corinthian 2: 10,12.

From here we go to the Word of God and confirm the things we understand and have come to believe. There are two statements of faith, the first is a short version of the longer version It is designed for special purposes. e.g. Initial Handouts. The second version the longer version is designed to be used as a teaching tool. It is in the development stage, it can be downloaded for in home use.

Statement of Faith. Short version.

We believe the Bible is 1the inerrant word of God, the creator of the Heavens and the Earth.

1John 17: 17

We believe 1the Genesis account regarding creation, and thus rest in it.

1Genesis 1:1 - Genesis 1: 13.

We believe 1God created man and angels, and that 2He created them to serve Him.

1Genesis 1: 27, Psalm 104: 4,  2Genesis 1: 28, Revelations 22: 3, Mark 1: 13, Matthew 26: 53.

We believe 1the angel Lucifer 2now known as 3Satan is the god of this world and 4the ruler of it’s  darkness.

1Isaiah 14: 12,  2Genesis 3: 1-4,   Revelations 12: 9,  32 Corinthians 4: 4,  4Ephesians 6: 12.

We believe 1the Genesis account regarding the history of Adam and Eve, more at; their fall and

separation from God.  1Genesis 3: 1 - 24.

We believe 1Adam in lieu of his disobedience to God, 2reaped for himself and for his offspring, spiritual and natural death, and 3Satan as god and father.

1Genesis 3: 6, 2Genesis 5: 3  Ephesians 2: 1,  Genesis 3: 19,  Hebrews 9: 27,   32 Corinthians 4: 4,   John 8: 44.

We believe 1God who is all knowing, 2had in place before the foundation of the world a plan whereby he would redeem man, so that he might fulfill His counsel. This counsel we believe 3is to have an earth which will be inhabited by holy people who in all righteousness will stand before him and serve Him.  11 Samuel 2: 3,   2Genesis 49: 10, 3Isaiah 45: 18,   2 Peter 3. 13.

We believe 1God is a Spirit, as such we believe 2he manifests himself as God the Father, 3God the Son, and 4God the Holy Spirit. 1John 4: 24,  2 Corinthians 3: 17.  2John 20: 17,  Colossians 1: 3.   3John 1:1,   1: 14,   Matthew 1; 23,    1 Timothy 3: 16,   1 John 5: 20. 4Acts 5: 3, 4.

We believe that the three persons of the Godhead have specific roles to perform in the bringing about of a body of righteous people, also known as the body of Christ, who will inhabit the new earth.   1The Father wills, 2the Son commands, 3the Spirit convinces. 1John 4: 34,  6: 29, 38, 39, 40.   2Matthew 28: 20,  John 15: 14.   3John 16: 8-11.

We believe God is building His Church, the Body of Christ, by the will of the Father,  through the life of His Son, by the power of the Holy Ghost, with spiritually regenerated souls, out of a lost world under the power of Satan, using His word, by the power of the Holy Ghost through the members of the Body of Christ, his vessels to whom he has entrusted the gospel of Christ, the word of reconciliation to reap unto the church, the harvest which rests in the foreknowledge of himself.

We believe the purpose of time as we know it is solely space for God where in to fulfill his counsel regarding man and his future environment. We believe once God has fulfilled his counsel, 1God will bring time to an end. 1Revelations 10: 6,  Revelations 21: 1.

We believe 1God has a book in which the name of every man, woman and child is recorded, the Lamb’s book of life. 1Revelations 20: 12-15,   21: 27,   22: 19, Daniel 12: 1, Luke 10: 20.

We believe, although all names are recorded in the Lamb’s book of life, 1only the names of those who have turned away from the power to Satan unto God will be found left written in this book at the end of time. 1Revelations 3: 5,   Luke 10: 20,  Philippians 4: 3,  Hebrews 12: 23.

We believe 1those whose names are left written in the Lamb’s book of life will reap eternal life in the presence of God. 1Daniel 12: 1,   Revelations 21: 27.

We believe 1those whose names are blotted out of the Lamb’s book of life will reap eternal damnation and eternal torment together with Satan and his angels in a lake of fire. 1Revelations 20: 10-15.

We believe God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son. that whosoever believed in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3. 16.

We believe 1that the Virgin Mary was the mother of Jesus, and that Mary was brought to conceive by the work and power of the Holy Ghost.  1Luke 1: 26-35.

We believe 1that Christ the Son man, was the LORD’s Christ 2whom God the Father sent to this world to pay the penalty of death for the sins of the world so that men may be set free. 1Luke 2: 26.   2Romans 4: 25.  Galatians 1: 4.

We believe that 1Christ the Son of man, rose from the grave, 2ascended into heaven, 3and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father 4intercessing for the saints of this world. 1Luke 24: 6.  2Acts 1: 9-11.  3Hebrews 1: 3,  Psalm 110:1.  4Hebrews 7: 25.

We believe that 1God the Father sends the Holy Spirit, to seal and secure for himself, all those who turn from sin and Satan, 1the god of this world, 2to life in Christ the Son of God, 3by whom and for whom all things were created. 1Act 2: 38.

We believe that 1man is saved by the grace of God through faith and that there is nothing he can do to save himself. 1Ephesians 2: 8-10.

We believe that 1man is instructed to have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness, 2but to walk in the Spirit so that he may please God. 1Ephesians 5: 11. 2Galatians 5: 16.

We believe that God is love and that he through the working of  his love in and through us via Christ in us, makes it possible for us to fulfill his laws. The fulfilling of all the law is, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, Leviticus 19: 18, and Galatians 5: 14.

We believe it is 1the love of God that works the faith of Christ, 2it is the faith of Christ that works the righteousness of God, 3it is the righteousness of God that delivers from death. 1Galatians 5: 6,  2Philippians 3: 9,  3Proverbs 11: 4.

We believe  that 1all scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect, and thoroughly furnished unto all good works.  2 Timothy 3: 16, 17.

We believe that 1praying without ceasing to God the Father in the name of Christ is essential to the development and to the maintenance of a sound personal relationship with God.
